Gérard Nébouy

Regional Managing Director, France, Belgium, Luxemburg (acting), Visa Inc.

Gérard Nébouy has been Regional Managing Director for France at Visa since 2010, his remits were extended to Belgium and Luxemburg since April 2018. He’s responsible for strengthening Visa’s regional operations and maintaining business growth in France, the second largest European market.

érard joined Visa from Carte Bleue (acquired by Visa Europe in 2010) where he was the Administrator for GIE Carte Bleue, and was President and CEO of the SAS Carte Bleue for 11 years. During his career at Carte Bleue, Gérard was a director on the board of Visa Europe, representing French banks. He worked on the development of Visa's range of products and services in France. He was also a director on the board of Visa International between 2004 and 2007, representing Visa Europe and Members of the European team in charge of negotiating the incorporation of Visa International.

He has extensive experience in sales, business development, P&L and joint ventures in the financial sector where he has previously occupied different executive positions in the French banking sector (CIC banking group).

Gérard graduated from the University of Saint-Etienne and the ESC Business School of Clermont-Ferrand. He speaks fluent French, English and Spanish
